What happens when you call the Reach Out number?
First, you will hear our Reach Out introduction message. After the message, the phone system will connect you with a mental health professional. You are given the option of either English or French prior to the beginning of the call.
If we are receiving an overwhelming amount of calls and a mental health professional is not available at the time you call, you will be redirected to a voice mail. As soon as a mental health worker is available they will call you right back!
I don’t have a phone. Can I still call?
Yes you can! You can use other technology to connect with our mental health and addiction workers. You can connect with Reach Out through a VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) service you trust. Once you’ve found the VoIP service that works for you, follow the steps to sign up and install the service.
